Work is progressing well on our Creaseys Department Store project. Since we started in July, we’ve been carefully demolishing the former HSBC building 13 High Street, level by level. We’ve taken out nearly 500 tonnes of material, which has been sorted and separated, before being taken off site to be recycled or reused where possible.
We are down to High Street level now and will be at Quayside level in the new year, demolishing the former bank vault levels and reaching the old tunnel that connects M&S to the main Creaseys building.
In the new year foundation works will be followed by erection of the steel frame structure of the new building.
