We are looking for a Trowel Trades Apprentice to join our busy team.

The Position

As an Apprentice in Trowel Trades, your principal role is to support qualified Wet Trades staff in a variety of tasks including blockwork, plastering, setting out and levelling and restoration and repair. You will also work towards a City & Guilds Level 2/3 Diploma with the College of Further Education.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out relevant site-based tasks as directed by the Site Managers.
  • To complete relevant mandatory and optional units set within the NVQ qualification, depending on level of entry.
  • Capture the knowledge and experience of a qualified Bricklayer to understand the trade.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times and any hazards reported immediately.

Experience & Qualities

The apprenticeship course is 4 years and on-the-job training will be provided. An awareness of the construction industry will be beneficial to the successful candidate.

Hours - Full time, 39 hours per week (including attendance at College for one day per week)
